Nokia Collector Editor's review
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.This is such a welcome piece of software--after years of no Macintosh support from Nokia--and it makes my life with my Nokia 6820 so much more pleasant, that I'm going to give it five stars in anticipation that these following quibbles will be fixed soon:--When exporting files, there is no "New folder" button.--Shift-click in the library should select a range of items, as in iPhoto.--"Export" should use the currently selected files, as iPhoto does, rather than opening a separate browser for selecting more.--Export straight to iPhoto would be nice, for people who don't figure out that you can drag photos to the iPhoto dock icon.--Online help should have a clear section explaining that dragging items out of the library window is an easier way to use Collector. The application "Phone Director" allows me to download and backup the contacts in my Nokia, but I hope Nokia will help Apple put 6820 support into iSync, and perhaps into Nokia Collector as well.On the plus side, Nokia Collector does what it does like a dream. You fire it up, and all your newly taken photos and new voice memos, etc. magically appear in your Mac (presuming you have configured this). No muss, no fuss.
