...PRECIPIThis review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.I'm astonished that anyone could consider making a meteorology application without including ANY data about 1 of the 2 most important elements of weather - Precipitation (the other being Temperature)! There is NO PRECIPITATION DATA AT ALL in this "application" except for the miniscule and short-term anecdotal bits included in the forecasts, such as "Friday, Feb. 19: 50% chance of light snow showers"! Unbelievable.Although Seasonality includes graphs illustrating anywhere from 1 day to a whole year of data about a location's Temperature, Wind Speed, Wind Direction and Humidity in order to succinctly convey some of the characteristics of a location's CLIMATE Ã¢?? characteristics that can only be drawn from mountainous datasets covering at least 30 years of daily weather observations, its developers have incomprehensibly forgotten about Precipitation! Sure, it's nice to know from what direction the wind normally comes, and maybe even its average speed. But after you've learned what you can by examining a place's historical Temperature profile, what's the next most important thing to anyone who's trying to learn about a place's climate? Is it really average 8:00 AM Wind Speed, or the Humidity levels at different times of the day? No, it's HOW MUCH PRECIPITATION FALLS, AND WHETHER AND WHEN IT IS RAIN OR SNOW!Because of this giant omission, Seasonality kind of seems like it was somebody's high school or freshman college science project that the developer is trying to monetize, because I cannot think of any other realm where such an important screwup would be tolerated. However, Seasonality has been around for 5 years now, but the DEVS HAVE MADE NO EFFORT TO FIX THAT GIANT HOLE IN ITS CREDIBILITY. So I can only draw one conclusion Ã¢?? they're hydrophobes!One more thing: This app offers no more information than you can find FOR FREE on any of the major American weather websites, such as the National Weather Service (weather.gov), Weather Underground (wunderground.com), The Weather Channel (weather.com), and even AccuWeather (accuweather.com). In fact, Seasonality OFFERS MUCH LESS INFO THAN ANY OF THOSE DO ON 1 PAGE OF THEIR WEBSITES! So why would anyone spend $25 for the hydrophobic Seasonality?
