Logger Pro software provides an inexpensive, user-friendly way for students to collect and analyze data with computers. This program works in combination with Vernier Software's Universal Lab Interface or Serial Box Interface. With either interface, students can easily measure physical quantities such as temperature, pH, pressure, light, dissolved oxygen, relative humidity, etc. With the Universal Lab Interface and a Motion Detector, students can collect distance, velocity and acceleration data. In either case, multiple sensors can be used simultaneously. The hardware and software simplify the data-collection process and free the student from the time-consuming work associated with collecting large amounts of data. Students obtain immediate feedback, because the equipment produces real-time graphs during data collection. Since data can be collected quickly, students spend more time observing phenomena and interpreting and analyzing results. Students find the equipment easy to use and quickly learn to perform experiments.
