Carracho Client Editor's review
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.I have a Cocoa Carrach beta called "Enchilada" v .1 on my computer! It's AWSOME! The GUI is all Cocoa, with Prefs like Safari's. Very smooth, doesn't crash except when it quits it does comes up with an error message after it closes. Someone just uploaded it to me but it looks legit, haven't tried connecting anywhere with it.Here's what I posted on the Server feedback:I have this thing someone uploaded to me called Enchilida. Claims to be a Cocoa Carracho! Weird, it launches and everything, I'll investigate more in a bit. Carracho needs a 2.0 bump.needs:1. AIM like chat with multimedia support and html support. Or at least each private chat has its own window, that message box thing is annoying when it fills up.2. On the server side, icons next to users so we Admins can see what users are uploading/downloading3. Folders take FOREVER to load and same with Agreement and messages. Me and my users are on FAST (read: college aka faster than even a T3) internet lines. Transfer speeds are blazing, getting almost a megaBYTE a second so this must be a software bug. Carracho developers HELLO please respond to me. You do NOT respond to suggestions and emails.4. CarraFix. Perhaps this should be built in. In User Info Admins could tweak the amount of bandwith they get.5. Uploading and downloading at the same time slows Carracho server down. This is partly because I am on half-duplix (can't send and receive at same time) Ethernet, but I think it is also a software bug.6. It's stable! Enough of the bug squishing let's see new features! Now, this said this is FREEWARE. THANK YOU CARRACHO for the free software which is the only software U. RI doesn't cap! That said please give us an update or at least tell us if you're not going to ever update it. The News on your site is not very informational.PS I better see you all on my server this Fall, but it won't be The Jaguar's Roar anymore of course! Panther's Pad? Panther's Paw? Panther's Purr? I don't know, help me with the name!:D
