Not downwardly compatible. Therefore critical files that were saved from earlier versions of AOL can't be opened in a useable format. Get with it AOL there are millions of Mac users who need a fix for this either as a separate program that can be run to convert old AOL documents to version that can be used by 1.7.784 or to some other acceptable format like MS WORD.
