Sweet16 for Mac emulates the Apple IIGS desktop computer from the '80s, letting you use it as a virtual machine through which you can run programs. With this app you can create a fully-functional computer that is capable of getting real work done as well as providing entertainment. Big Apple fan? Then you'll love it.

To use Sweet16 for Mac, you need to create an Apple IIGS ROM image by extracting it from the actual hardware. Once you have the file, you can open it from the app -- the operating system will load and present you with its desktop. From here you're able to download freeware applications through your modern Mac and then mount them in Sweet16 and use them on the Apple IIGS. The emulator offers some customization on each component of the virtual machine, including the memory, CPU, display, and storage. Another nice feature is that you can paste your OS X clipboard into the Apple IIGS, though it can't be done in reverse order. Once you load the virtual machine with all the software you want, you can use the emulator to save the whole setup as an emupack.
